Dr. William Gillespie, MD is a psychiatry specialist with over 29 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Gillespie has extensive experience in General Mental Health Disorders & Therapy, Psychotic Disorders, and Addiction & Substance Abuse. He graduated from UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT LOS ANGELES / CENTER FOR HEALTH SCIENCES in 1993. He is affiliated with medical facilities such as LA Downtown Medical Center and San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. Dr. Gillespie graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine as a medical doctor and earned a Ph.D in Molecular Biology from UCLA. He performed both his Internal Medicine Internship and Psychiatry Residency at UCLA as well, serving as the Chief Resident of Outpatient Psychiatry.
Dr. Gillespie has been employed as an Inpatient Psychiatrist Medical Doctor by the Silverlake Medical Center Los Angeles since 2001 and has maintained a private practice since 1996. He has also worked in a variety of settings since his licensure. His training specializes in Mood Disorders, Bipolar and Unipolar Depression, Eating Disorders, Group and Individual Treatment, Psychodynamic Therapies, Outpatient and Inpatient Psychopharmacology, and Adult and Child Attention Deficit Disorders.
In addition to his extensive experience within the field of psychology, Dr. Gillespie has published several articles.
